Author of The Manchurian Candidate, Winter Kills and Prizzi's Honor, Richard Condon is a classic American political satirist. Apart from these three titles that have been brought to the big screen, he has written another 25 novels published in 35 languages. Few have escaped his sharp eye and witty scrutiny with subjects ranging from the Mafia, the the US Congress, the Vatican, the English aristocracy and the Spanish Civil War. His theme is the abuse of power and never has he seemed more relevant. His novels were written between 1960-1985 but what he wrote about then as outlandish suposition has become the reality of life in the 21st century.
